Francophony Day Celebration at Charles Jow Memorial Academy

Charles Jow Memorial Academy (CJMA) recently held a vibrant Francophonie Day to celebrate and promote the teaching and learning of the French language and its rich culture. Organized by the CJMA French Club, the event was attended by two other schools, creating a vibrant atmosphere of cultural exchange and learning.

One of the highlights of the day was the presence of representatives from Voccent. The Voccent team took the opportunity to introduce their innovative app to everyone in attendance, highlighting its benefits for enhancing French language learning. They expressed their gratitude to CJMA for choosing Voccent as their preferred tool for learning French, demonstrating the positive impact the app has on language acquisition.

The event followed the speeches with a host of engaging activities, all conducted in French. These included quizzes, drama, poetry recitations, and cultural dances, providing a comprehensive showcase of the students’ talents and enthusiasm for the French language and culture.

The Francophonie Day at CJMA was more than just a celebration, it was an important step towards promoting the study of French in schools across The Gambia.
